Got a 3DS? Take Your Cards Wherever You Are with '3DS AR Cards'

One of the most genuinely cool features of the Nintendo 3DS is the use of its cameras. Namely, the 3DS has an excellent implementation of augmented reality gaming and its so simply executed--just place any of the 'AR Cards' on a table, point the camera at the card and then you're instantly playing a minigame. Windows Phone 7 is getting a similar augmented reality feature with Mango later this year. The only real downside to the 3DS's execution of the camera trick is that you actually need the physical cards, and while they are small the prospect of taking cards wherever you go isn't exactly portable. But, if you have a Windows Phone you can finally ditch the cards with the novel app 3DS AR Cards:
You just picked up your new 3DS and you want to show off the augmented reality (AR), but you forgot your cards!
Fear not, boot up this app (from the games hub), select the card that you want and away you go!
Supports disabling the lockscreen while the card is fullscreen, so that you can keep playing without worrying about the phone locking on you midway.
Cards: Question Mark Block, Mario, Link, Kirby, Samus, Pikmin
The app simply uses your phone instead of the card to get some AR gaming on the go. Some user reviews even allege it actually works better than the cards because the 3DS requires you to be in a well-lit area but a smartphone's backlight is strong enough to do the job.

The app is available in the marketplace in a paid version for $0.99 or a free ad-supported version; you can check them out by clicking on the tiles below.
