Install Avast for Ubuntu 11.04/10.10/11.10

Antivirus software for Ubuntu Users – is it optional ? If you want to get protected from virus attacks or malwares, spywares..

Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal) or 11.10 (Few alpha versions has arrived, the stable will be released after few months) or 10.10 or any Linux based distributions are very less prone to virus attacks or malwares, spywares (or any similar *wares). The reason is pretty straight forward – First Linux based operating systems are highly secure and the second reason is that Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 7 ..) has been the targeted systems for crackers / hackers or malicious programmers (may be due to the fact that most of the common users uses Microsoft Windows operating system).

Therefore, in general, you don’t need to install any antivirus software on Ubuntu; it’s OK!
If you want to try Avast then you need to download the debian package and install it – either from command line or using Ubuntu Software Center.

How to install Avast on Ubuntu (11.04/11.10/..)

step 1 : Download the debian package.
Download Free Avast Antivirus for Ubuntu

step 2 : Install the *.deb package by Right Click -> Open with Ubuntu Software Center, and click on install button and relax! or just enter the following command -
cd move_to_target_directory

sudo dpkg -i file_name.deb

step 3 : To start using avast antivirus software, You need to Register with avast to get a free license key (Don’t worry it’s free!). The license key will be delivered to your email address within 24 hours (usually withing a couple of hours).

step 4 : Start the program and enter the license key. That’s all!

Get The best security for your Ubuntu! :)

How to install XFCE on Ubuntu 11.04

XFCE is a most popular lightweight desktop environment for Unix like operating systems such as GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Mac OS X etc. It is a free and open source software, consumes less resources then other desktops available for Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal) – such as Gnome 2.*, KDE etc. Xfce desktop comes along with some applications installed by default – e.g Thunar (File Manager), Midori (Web browser), Mousepad (Text Editor); that is very simple to use and provides pretty fast experience without consuming a lot of memory or other resources.

Why should you try XFCE ?

Ubuntu 11.04 uses ‘Unity’ desktop by default but if you are running ubuntu on a older hardware/computer or got tired with the slow performance of other desktops then Xfce is the right desktop for you. Since, Ubuntu has very modular structure you can install as many desktop as you want; it means you don’t need to go for Xbuntu distribution – The Xfce version of Ubuntu, if you are already using Ubuntu or any other flavor of Ubuntu. Xfce 4.8 is the latest stable version available, released in Jan 2011. You can install it either from command line or Synaptic Package Manager, and it works not only for ubuntu but also for other Linux distros such as Linux Mint, Fedora etc.

Installing XFCE Desktop on Ubuntu 11.04

step1 : Open terminal and type (You may need to authenticate yourself by login password):
sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install xfce4

step2 : Wait until the installation is complete. Next, logout from the current session and select Xfce session in login prompt.

step3 : That’s all.. Enjoy XFCE.. if you want to use other desktop then just select it at the login prompt.

How to Reset and Manage the OS X 10.7 Launchpad interface?

A happy news for Apple Lovers with the new OS, OS X Lion! The new Launchpad program launcher and organizing interface in OS X Lion.

Apple is promoting the new Launchpad program launcher and organizing interface in OS X Lion, a means of managing applications that should be familiar to iOS users. I personally find Launchpad to be one of the more useless of the new features in OS X Lion, but regardless of whether or not you like the interface, it may take a bit of organization and customization to suit your needs.

By default Launchpad will show all of your installed applications, and if you click and hold one application they will all go into the familiar iOS "wiggle" mode in which you can then drag them into groups and move them around as you see fit. While you might enjoy doing this on a new system, if you have a number of applications already installed on a system that you have upgraded to Lion, then you may experience a certain level of frustration in dealing with pages and pages of application icons, especially if you have multiple Parallels Desktop virtual machines installed.

If you are experiencing these frustrations with Launchpad and still wish to use the feature, then one approach you might consider is to clear out Launchpad and start it over from scratch, to organize as you see fit. The Launchpad items are all organized and stored in a SQLite database file located in the ~/Library/Application Support/Dock/ folder, which can be cleared by running the following command (courtesy of Loren Segal at gnuu.org):

sqlite3 ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dock/*.db "DELETE from apps; \
DELETE from groups WHERE title<>''; DELETE from items WHERE rowid>2;" \
&& killall Dock

Be sure to copy and paste all three lines into the Terminal. While Terminal commands run on one line, the backslashes at the end of the lines here allow the return character to be "escaped," so all of these lines are run as if they are on the same line.

When this is done, you will have a marvelously blank Launchpad interface, so to add your applications again all you have to do is drag them to the Launchpad icon in the Dock (drag the Launchpad program itself from the /Applications folder to the Dock if it is not already there). Any new applications you purchase through the Mac App Store will be automatically added to Launchpad.

Be sure to back up the database file before you alter it by copying it to your Desktop or another safe location. If for some reason you have messed up Launchpad and wish to restore your previous settings then you can restore the backup (or even use Time Machine to restore a previously backed up database file) and then log out and log back in to your system.

If you wish to reset the Launchpad to its default settings and organization, then all you need to do is delete the database file. To do this, press the Option key and choose Library from the Go menu in the Finder, and then navigate to the /Application Support/Dock/ folder and remove the ".db" file (it will have a long string of letters and numbers as its name). Or you can run the following command in the Terminal:

rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dock/*.db

How to back up your Android phone?

Back up your Android phone

It's a simple article about back up your Android phone. Help Android user to keep the important data.
Android doesn't offer a native backup service, so it's easy to ignore the need to do so. But don't wait until it's too late to start thinking about backing up your phone. Many of us rely on our phone cameras to snap

day-to-day photos of our lives and save text messages to have some of the most important conversations. So before a thief swipes that phone, or a spilled cup of coffee bricks it, follow these tips:

Google has your back. Go to Settings > Privacy, and make sure that "Back up my settings" and "Automatic restore" are checked off. Go to Settings > Accounts and sync, open your Gmail account, and check off all options. With these settings in place, your contacts, system settings, apps, calendar, and e-mail will be restored whenever you set up a new Android phone with that same Gmail account.

Photos. Google hasn't implemented a native photo backup service yet, so look to third-party apps to safeguard your photos. You might want to consolidate your mobile photos with those you already have stored in a cloud service. For instance, Photobucket Mobile will automatically upload newly snapped photos in the background to your Photobucket account. Flickr Companion and Picasa Tool are also free apps that allow mobile uploading but don't do so automatically.

Drag and drop. Back up photos from your Android the traditional way. Connect your phone to your computer via USB, set it in Disk Mode and locate the drive (on the desktop for Mac, in My Computer for Windows). Open the drive, find the DCIM folder, and drag the photos you'd like to back up onto your hard drive.

Text messages. Folks at SMS Backup + figured out a smart way to back up your text messages in the cloud. The free app automatically sends your SMS threads to Gmail and stores them under a new label, "SMS."

Let someone else do it. If you like the idea of having someone else back up your data, download MyBackup Pro. The $5 app backs up everything--SMS, photos, apps, call log, contacts, system settings, bookmarks, and more--to your SD card or its online server at no extra charge. MyBackup also allows you to restore your data, should you

How to Reset Mac OS X Lion Account Passwords?

A solution if you forgot your Mac account password or you have a new Mac.When you get a trouble when you will login.
It’s human nature to forget little bits of information from time to time and passwords are not an exception. If you forgot your Mac account password or you have a new Mac (bought or inherited) and you don’t know the password needed to login, this tutorial will help you reset an original administrator’s password with or without using a Mac OS X DVD Install disc.

Forgetting a password might seem inconceivable to most people, but it has happened many times. This might happen not only because one cannot memorize things, but also due to using the Automatic login feature in Mac OS X.

Once Automatic login is disabled from System Preferences, by you or anyone else, you will have to enter your account or the administrator password to be able to access the Mac OS X desktop. If you have always trusted your Mac to automatically log you in, this might be a serious problem you have to solve.

Although resetting an (administrator) account’s password might seem a highly intrepid operation, after reading the steps listed below you will see that it’s not.

Reset the administrator password using the Install disc

1. Shut down your Mac and insert your Mac OS X Install disc into the SuperDrive (if not available, you can create your own bootable Leopard Install USB memory stick using the tutorial available HERE).

2. Start your Mac using the power button, while pressing and holding the OPTION key. When the Startup Manager screen appears, select the Install disc using the keyboard arrow keys and hit RETURN.

3. Choose your language and click “Continue”.

4. Go to the Utilities menu available on the top menu bar and choose “Password Reset” (“Reset Password” for a 10.5 or 10.4 Install disc).

5. Select your Mac OS X installation drive (its default name is “Macintosh HD”) and select your administrator account’s name (WARNING: Do not select “System Administrator” – this is the root user).

6. Enter your new password and a new password hint, click “Save” and close password reset utility.

7. From the menu bar choose “Quit the Mac OS X Installer” and click “Restart”

8. Login using your new password.

Reset the administrator password without an Install disc

This method should be used if your DVD drive is not reading the Install disc, if you own a MacBook Air (which has no DVD drive), or if you do not have the Mac OS X Install disc.

1. Restart the Mac and hold down Command-S. A command line will appear on your Mac’s screen.

2. Type in the following command (press Enter/Return after each of them):

/sbin/fsck -y
/sbin/mount -uaw

(these instructions will allow you to access the startup disk in read/write mode)

rm /var/db/.applesetupdone

(this command will delete the .applesetupdone file so that Mac OS X will think that the setup process was never finished)

reboot

Now your Mac will restart and will be as good as new. You will be able to change the password you lost from the account preferences.

Although the above steps will allow you to reset your own password, it also means that others with physical access to your Mac will also be able to use them for accessing your information. To further protect your Mac, you should set an Open Firmware password using Apple's utility and the instructions available HERE.

If you have any questions or you want further details regarding the steps you have to take for resetting your Mac OS X account’s password, leave a comment below.

How to Create a Bootable Mac OS X USB Disk?

Let's go to try! A great info for Apple Lovers around the world.
This tutorial will allow you to learn the necessary steps for creating your own bootable Mac OS X Leopard (or Lion) image on a USB memory stick. This might be needed if your Mac needs a reinstall or a “Repair Disk” procedure and it has problems reading the bundled Install disc. To use this tutorial a second Mac computer with a working SuperDrive or a Mac OS X Install disc DMG file will be needed.

If you ever had problems with your Mac OS X installation you know that the first thing you should do is to check the startup volume using Disk Utility.

After the check has ended and, if the errors exceed a certain level of seriousness, the Disk Utility application will require you to restart your Mac and use its Mac OS X Install disc counterpart.

Other users may have to reinstall OS X altogether, but will find, or already know, that their SuperDrive (a CD/DVD reader and write combo drive) is not functioning properly and it will not be able to read the Install disc.

Although this might happen to Mac OS X Leopard users due to faulty hardware, the vast majority of problematic SuperDrives will be encountered inside Snow Leopard running Macs.

This is due to the updated SuperDrive firmware included in either the Install disc or the software updates one has to install to reach the latest version of OS X, namely 10.6.6.

This can be fixed by flashing the SuperDrive’s stock firmware using free command line tools that one can find for free online (I will write about this process also, but at a later time because this article only focuses on allowing you to create your own alternative USB boot disc).

If you are reading this last bit of information with skepticism, than you should know that it happened to me too. Despite all my tries to make it work properly, the SuperDrive kept on munching any inserted DVDs and just popped them out in about twenty seconds.

The workaround to this issue was to create my own Leopard bootable USB memory stick. I am not suggesting a Snow Leopard bootable stick mainly because there are lots of users that have decided to buy the cheaper, Upgrade version, which I have not tested and, therefore, I’m not sure if it will work properly once written to a USB disk.

And now, here are the exact steps you should follow in order to obtain a fully bootable Leopard (or Lion) Install disc.

Step 1 (If you already have the Leopard install disc DMG file you can skip to Step 2)

Launch Disk Utility (you can find it inside /Applications/Utilities). Here select the Leopard Install disc in the list of drives on the left and click on the New Image menu entry at the top of the window. A save message will appear where you will have to select the Desktop as a destination.

Step 2

After Disk Utility has finished creating the Leopard DMG, insert your USB stick and erase all data and reformat the disk. To do this select the USB in the list of drives on the left and, after clicking on the Erase tab on the right side of the window, choose the Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format and click the Erase button beneath.

Step 3

After the USB has been reformatted, download the SuperDuper app from HERE and launch it. Once SuperDuper starts, you will only have to select the DMG in the Copy drop-down menu, your USB memory stick on the right and hit the “Copy Now” button.

One can also use Disk Utility for this task but creating a bootable USB stick failed 2 out 4 times when copying the DMG to the stick (with the exact same settings each time). Creating the bootable stick using SuperDuper proved to be the perfect way to do it because it worked each of the 4 times I tested it.

The steps above can also be used to create a bootable Mac OS X Lion USB by using the InstallESD.dmg image you can find inside the Lion installer (named “Install Mac OS X Lion.app”) downloaded from the Mac App Store.
To locate the InstallESD.dmg right click the Lion installer, select the “Show Package Contents” entry, go inside the “Contents” folder, and from there into the “SharedSupport” folder. Inside this folder you can find the InstallESD.dmg you can use to create your own bootable Mac OS X Lion USB stick. To do so, go to the third step described above and use the InstallESD.dmg as the DMG to be copied to your USB disc.

That’s it! Once the process ends you will have a fully bootable Leopard (or Lion) USB disk that you can use as an alternative to the Apple’s DVD Install disc that comes bundled with all Macs.

To use your newly created bootable disk you will have to restart the Mac, press and hold the OPTION key until the Startup Manager appears. Here, select the Mac OS X Install disk using your keyboard arrows and press return to start from the selected drive.

If you have any questions or any problems while following the above steps, leave a comment and I will get back to you with an answer as soon as possible.

How to Enable OS X Lion-style ‘Natural Scrolling’ in Ubuntu

OS X Lion introduced natural/reverse scrolling where by “content tracks finger movement”.
If you’ve ever used a touchscreen smartphone you’ll already be familiar with how this works: you drag down to scroll up; you drag up to scroll down.

‘Natural Scrolling‘ by Charalampos brings reverse scrolling to Ubuntu.

Reverse Scrolling is likely better demonstrated than explained. If you can’t quite get your head around it the following video does an excellent job of  showing it off: -

Download Natural Scrolling for Ubuntu

‘Natural Scrolling’ requires a handful of dependencies: -
Once the above dependencies have been installed you can proceed to download the .Deb installer.
Double-click on the .Deb to open it in the Ubuntu Software Centre. Hit the ‘Install’ button to install, then launch from the Dash by searching for ‘Natural Scrolling’ once completed.

You can toggle Natural Scrolling using the Application Indicator present in the top panel. When Natural Scrolling is active a small ‘tick’ will be shown. Click again to disable it.

Note that at the time of writing the ‘Autostart at login’ feature is broken.

Apple Details OS X Lion Keyboards

Soon after the release of OS X Lion, Apple quietly introduced slightly modified versions of its Macintosh keyboards, changing some of the F keys to accommodate a number of Lion-specific features, including Launchpad and Mission Control.

Although not officially announced by Apple, the keyboards were spotted in Italy.

As Apple itself confirms in a Support document posted online this week, “Wired and wireless keyboards designed for use with OS X Lion feature Launchpad and Mission Control function keys.”

The Mac maker felt it was necessary to explain that “Although these keyboards are designed for and work best using OS X Lion, they also work with Mac OS X v10.6.8 Snow Leopard and iOS—such as with iPad and iPhone. When used with Snow Leopard, the Launchpad key functions as a Dashboard key instead.”

Customers may not want to rush their purchase of a brand new Apple keyboard just yet.

According to the people in Cupertino, California, “Using these keyboards with operating system software other than Snow Leopard, Lion, or iOS may result in some keys not working as expected; keyboard-based brightness controls, music and video navigation keys, and volume controls may not work as expected.”

Should customers run into these issues, there are workarounds.

For example, brightness and volume can be controlled from the System Preferences panes, according to Apple.

“Music and video navigation can be controlled from applications such as iTunes or QuickTime Player,” the company adds.

To make one thing clear (since Apple somehow fails to do so) OS X Lion does not require a new keyboard, provided that you have one of the relatively new aluminum keyboards that ship with iMacs since 2008.

Both the F3 and F4 keys will work as expected under Lion - as in F3 will allow you to access Mission Control, and F4 takes you to the Dashboard.

To access Launchpad, either click its icon in the Dock (provided that you haven’t poof’ed it out upon installing Lion) or, if you’re using a trackpad, swipe four fingers inwards to invoke it.

How to Uninstall OS X 10.7 Lion Server

Customers who wish to have OS X Lion server uninstalled from their computers can do so following a few easy steps outlined by Apple in a Support document issued this week.

Unlike previous versions of Mac OS X, the Server side of OS X 10.7 Lion comes as an application that behaves much like an add-on for the Client OS. Lion Server is a $39.99 download from the Mac App Store in the Productivity section.

Designed both for Mac computers and iOS devices, Lion Server makes it easy to share files, schedule meetings, synchronize contacts, host your own website, remotely access your network, publish wikis, distribute podcasts, and everything else you can do with a server.

By making Mac OS X Server a set of applications users can purchase right from the Mac App Store, Apple aims to enable anyone to quickly and easily turn a Mac running Lion into a home, office, or school server.

The Cupertino, California-based technology giant behind Mac OS X specifically notes that “Lion Server is an app and collection of services that can be added to OS X Lion.”

For those who have installed Lion Server and decide that they no longer want to use it (for whatever reason), Apple has laid out the instructions to properly disable this portion of Mac OS X.

The steps are reproduced below, in their entirety. The original Apple Support document is located here.

1. Open Server app.

2. If you see a Welcome screen and a button named Configure, you have not yet set up Lion Server; quit Server app and skip to step 8.
Otherwise, if you don't see a Welcome screen and a Configure button, continue to step 3.

3. Check the Services list on the left side of the Server app window. Select each one that is on (as indicated by a green dot) and flip the switch in the upper right from On to Off.

4. Click on the icon for your computer in the Hardware list, on the left beneath the Services list.

5. Click the Settings tab.

6. If the box next to "Dedicate system resources to server services" is checked, uncheck it. This will display a message telling you that you must restart your computer for the change to take effect. Click "Restart Later".

7. Quit Server app.

8. Remove Server app from your Dock. You may delete it from your Applications folder, but it is not necessary. You may also remove the Server folder containing the advanced Server Admin Tools if you installed them separately.

9. Restart your computer, if you were instructed to in step 6.

How to Boost Windows 7 Laptop Battery Life with Automated Solution from Microsoft

Squeezing every last drop of battery life from a Windows laptop is now easier to do with an automated solution offered free of charge by Microsoft.

The Redmond company is providing customers with a Fix It download via its Microsoft Support website, designed to make their laptop batteries live longer.

The solution works for Windows 7 machines, but also for computers running earlier versions of Windows.

Users need only visit the “Fix power consumption problems and extend the laptop battery life” webpage, download the Fix It troubleshooter and launch it on their Windows laptop.

“Automatically detect system settings that can affect power usage, such as timeout and sleep settings, display settings, and screensavers, and restore them to their default settings,” the Redmond company reveals.

Some customers might already be aware of the fact that the manner in which their machine is set up has a direct impact on power consumption and battery life.

The Fix It troubleshooter is designed to automatically identify problems and set up Windows 7 laptops per the best settings to extend battery life as much as possible.

The software giant provided the following list with the issues that this Fix It solution resolves:

“- The period of time before the computer goes to sleep is set too long

- Screen saver is used instead of setting the computer to enter sleep mode

- Display brightness is set too high

- Power plan is not set to the most efficient power plan

- Wireless adaptor in not optimized for power saving

- Minimum processor state is set too high.”

I think it’s obvious that while some of this settings can be set manually by the vast majority of customers, there are also a few which are a tad less user friendly.

Credit goes to Ferramosca Roberto whose original Italian Quicklist I’ve translated to English. I’ve also added a different, more Google+-y icon by ~d-bliss.
So to download and install you need to open a new Terminal tab or window. Enter each of the following commands carefully: -
  • wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3000127/google%2B.desktop
  • wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3000127/google%2B1.png
  • mv google+.desktop ~/.local/share/applications/
  • sudo mv google+1.png /usr/share/pixmaps/
Once completed add the ‘Google+’ quicklist to the Unity Launcher by dragging the ‘google+.desktop’ file in ~/.local/share/applications onto the Unity Launcher.

How to Upgrade Cincinnati Bell Motorola Milestone XT720 to Android 2.2 Froyo

Although Motorola decided against pushing any major software updates for the Milestone XT720, it appears that Cincinnati Bell will offer its customers a non-Motorola certified Android 2.2 Froyo update.

It is unusual for a carrier to deploy an unapproved software update, but Cincinnati Bell considered that an important amount of customers bought the Milestone XT720, so it decided to go against the tide and make the update available through its own channels.

Given the fact that this is not a Motorola OEM certified upgrade, all warranty exchanges will need to be completed through Cincinnati Bell and not through Motorola, so if you are not comfortable with this do not make the update to Android 2.2 Froyo.

Because the update is developed and deployed by Cincinnati Bell, the procedure is unusual, so those who wish to attempt it should follow this guide.

Basically, you will need to root the Milestone XT720, backup your data using Titanium Backup, and flash the Android 2.2 Froyo update.

Then you will need to root the device again, restore the data and then unroot it. The whole procedure is explained in the movie below.

In addition, you will need to download the necessary files for the upgrade and save them somewhere on your computer where you can easily locate them.

Make sure you have enough space on your hard drive as the files are approx. 324MB in size.
Also, after downloading the files be sure to open the file named “README.txt” and check the Customer Name and Key that you will be asked to enter during the upgrade.

Have the battery fully charged and close any applications before proceeding with the upgrade.
Even if you backup your data, you will only be able to download the applications purchased or downloaded from the Android Market by accessing “My Apps” in the Android Market.

The Android 2.2 Froyo update will take a bit more than 30 minutes, so make sure you have enough time to complete all steps.

If you think you are not capable of upgrading your Motorola Milestone XT720 by yourself, even after watching the explanatory movie you should go to the nearest Cincinnati Bell retail store and have one of the Wireless Specialists do it for you.

How to Get the Best Performance from Thunderbolt

With a new Thunderbolt cable now out the door and several existing Macs already supporting the I/O standard, Apple is outlining the methods through which customers can get the best performance.

First things first, Apple says in a Support document posted online this week.

According to the Cupertino tech giant, “To help you get the best Thunderbolt reliability and performance, make sure to download and install the latest software updates on your Thunderbolt-capable Mac.”

One of those is actually a newly-released Thunderbolt Firmware Update which, according to the release notes, “provides Thunderbolt performance and stability fixes.”

However, since Thunderbolt Firmware Update 1.0 requires OS X 10.6.8, you may be required to download and install more than one software package.

But Apple’s got you covered. Here’s what you need to do, according to the Mac maker:

1. From the Apple () menu, choose Software Update to see a list of any updates for your computer. After installing the updates and restarting your Mac, run Software Update again to see if more updates appear.

2. Use System Profiler to determine which versions of software and firmware your Mac currently has.
· From the Apple () menu, choose About this Mac.
· Click More info.
· To see the Boot ROM version, click Hardware and examine the Boot ROM version field.
· To see the Mac OS version and build information, click Software and examine the System Version field.
· To see Thunderbolt firmware, click Thunderbolt and examine the Firmware version and Port micro fields.

Cupertino asks customers to note that if they re-install their operating system from DVD, they are required to disconnect Thunderbolt before starting the installation.

Only after the installation customers are supposed to “run Software Update and […] apply all available Mac OS X updates before reconnecting any Thunderbolt devices,” according to Apple.

In the same knowledge base article, Apple also lists the current level of software required for best Thunderbolt performance.

GAMEPLAY HINTS
Defeating Anima
Summon Yuna's new Aeon Shiva and attack normally. Heal with her Ice spells on herself. When her Overdrive is full, it should kill Anima. Alternately, use Yuna's Overdrive Grand Summon on Shiva, then just attack a few times.

When fighting Anima, carry a lot of Phoenix Downs to counter the Pain attack. Also, have Rikku steal Grenades from Anima. They are effective against him.

Defeating Al Bhed gunner
Have Tidus, Auron, and Kimarhi up front. Have Tidus use Cheer ten times or more. Have Auron attack, and Kimarhi heal with Hi-Potions.

To defeat the Al Bhed gunner, you must have had Rikku steal from the electric fiends in Macalania Woods. They hold Electro Marbles. Get six or more of them. Then when you are battling the Al Bhed gunner, have Rikku, Auron, and Lulu on your team. Have Lulu use Water and Ice magic attacks on it. Have Auron use regular attacks on it. Have Rikku use the Electro Marbles. The Electro Marbles take up to 300 to 600 damage. It is very effective if you use a lot of them.

Defeating Behemoth Kings
If you have a weapon with "Stonestrike" or "Stone Touch" equipped and manage to use it in the finishing hit, the Behemoth King will not do his "Meteor" counter-attack before dying.

Update New Software for Nokia X6-00

One of Nokia's Symbian smartphones that have been arousing controversy for quite a while, Nokia X6-00 has just received a new maintenance software update.

Even though the Finnish giant has recently announced that it will hand over the Symbian support to a third-party company, namely Accenture, it appears that the software update calendar won't be hindered at all.

While the switchover is expected to take place in the early part of October, more Nokia smartphones are receiving more or less important software updates.

Officially launched on the market in December 2009, Nokia X6-00 is among the oldest Symbian smartphones to receive updates.

The update will bring Nokia X6-00 software from version 31 to 32.x.xxx, but an official change log has yet to be unveiled.

However, Nokia X6-00 owner who already updated their smartphones to the latest firmware report that the phone's performance has been greatly enhanced.

In addition, various applications have been updated, including Ovi Contacts, which hasn't been wiped from the device yet.

The stability of the phone has been improved as well by minimizing errors and lags.

Those who wish to update their Nokia X6-00 software can do so by using the handset maker's Nokia Software Updater application or Ovi Suite.

If none of the aforementioned software solutions is available, users can choose to update through the built-in software updater within the phone by simply going to Settings / Tools / Software Update.

On related news, it appears that Nokia does not intend to deliver the latest Symbian Anna operating system to older smartphones.

This means that owners of the X6-00 devices will be stuck on S60 5th Edition, or Symbian^1 as the platform was recently renamed by Nokia.

It is unclear whether the handset is to receive other major software updates in the future, as Nokia is trying to discontinue the Symbian mobile platform.
