Equipped with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4600 Series GPU
At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Taiwan's ASUSTeK has unveiled two new portable computer systems designed to take advantage of AMD's fresh new Mobility Radeon HD 4600 series of notebook graphics processors. The new ASUS N81Vp and N51Tp are claimed to be capable of delivering an impressive multimedia experience for the consumer market, also incorporating the company's innovative technologies, such as Super Hybrid Engine and the built-in Express Gate operating system.
Overall, the two new N-series laptops from ASUS are targeted at multimedia enthusiasts who are looking for a performance-capable portable PC.
“ASUS constantly strives in delivering the best possible mobile computing solutions to our customers for exceptional multimedia experiences,” said Alvin Chou, senior product manager for ASUS' Notebook Business Unit. “We are pleased to offer the world's first notebooks with the ATI Mobility Radeon" HD 4650 graphics in the ASUS N51Tp and N81Vp; and ATI Mobility Radeon" HD 4570 graphics in the F81Se.”
ASUS has already unleashed a new gaming laptop designed to take advantage of the performance capabilities of AMD's next-generation of mobile graphics chips. The new models come to further expand the company's range of Mobility Radeon 4000-series powered systems. Said to provide an exceptional HD entertainment experience, the N81Vp and N51Tp can also support some of the upcoming gaming applications, leveraging Microsoft's DirectX 10.1 API.
Thanks to the Super Hybrid Engine, the two N-series laptops are claimed to provide up to 35% battery life improvement. In addition, ASUS' Express Gate operating system allows users to access their most commonly used applications within just 8 seconds.
ASUS is yet to provide the full details regarding the availability and pricing info on its latest N-series laptops, which are likely to hit the market in late Q1 2009.
