HTC 7 Pro Now Available on U.S. Cellular, $199 with new plan

If you're in the market for a Windows Phone, you just got a brand new option to pick from today. Well, it's not brand new in that sense but it is the first time a Windows Phone will be offered in the United States on a network outside of the "big four". U.S. Cellular has launched the HTC 7 Pro on their network today, and in case you're having deja vu the 7 Pro is identical to Sprint's Arrive. Want to know the kind of horsepower this landscape-sliding Windows Phone is packing? Here's a quick summary:

  • 3.6" Capacitive Display
  • WVGA Resolution (480x800)
  • Dimensions: 4.63" x 2.32" x 0.61" (117.5 x 59 x 15.5 mm)
  • Weight: 6.5 oz (185 g)
  • Sliding Landscape QWERTY Keyboard
  • 8 GB Internal Storage
  • 5MP Autofocus camera, 720p video, LED Flash
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
  • 1500mAh battery

We want to note that this HTC 7 Pro is actually a CDMA device thanks to U.S. Cellular's use of the network so don't go hunting for your SIM chip when you pop open the box. Here's the million dollar question: "how much is this gonna cost me?" Well luckily for you, it's not a million dollars; the phone will be available for $199.99 (after $100 rebate). In order to qualify for that price you either need the carrier's Belief Plan with the Data Plus option or a new 2-year contract. It's awesome to see Windows Phones becoming increasingly available in the United States, even on a smaller network such as U.S. Cellular. Options are good!
