Flickr Wallpapers is a simple, clean way to find just that

In my opinion, Windows Phone 7 has sort of a unique problem: it's too good looking. I always struggle to find just the right wallpaper with enough sophistication and beauty to compliment the Metro UI. Fortunately there's Flickr which is home to millions of wonderfully talented photographers that snap some really impressive shots that I snatch as my wallpaper. Recently I found an app that seems to perfectly fit these exact needs of mine: Flickr Wallpapers by KJO Software. Here's the description:

- FREE!
- View random beautiful images from Flickr's "interesting" photos!
- Save photos to your phone and use them as your phone background.
- No login required.

Yeah, there's not much to it but that's precisely what I enjoy about the app. Among other wallpaper apps, this is undoubtedly one of the simplest and most direct to use. Flickr's "interesting" user photos are randomly generated and fade into a grid of thumbnails on top of a white background. From there you can scroll through and poke around to find just the right wallpaper you're looking for and if you don't have much luck you can just press that refresh button in the top-right corner to get some more random images. It's very basic and doesn't offer any of the frills of other wallpaper apps, but if you want some high quality photos in a very streamlined package for free you could do a lot worse. Pick up Flickr Wallpapers in the Marketplace by clicking on the tile below.
