Mosaic by Tribune updated with better performance

Mosaic by Tribune had a lot of hype and support around it when it debuted a few months ago on Windows Phone alongside a Windows 7 client. Unfortunately, that excitement was quickly met with disappointment as the app struggled to keep up with its unique looking interface resulting in a lot of choppiness and a lot more unhappy users. But it looks like Mosaic's fortunes may have changed, as the troubled app received an update last night which brings along a big performance increase. Testing out the app for ourselves, it does appear much smoother than before and a few user reviews back up our impressions, but it's still not as smooth as it could be.
