Official: N9 is Nokia's First Meego Phone

Well it looks like its official. Nokia just announced their leaked Nokia N9 and the only negative thing we see is the lack of Windows Phone magic sauce. That said, there are quite a few compelling hardware features for those interested in the first real Meego device. The N9 is rocking a 1GHz TI OMAP 3630 processor, an 8 megapixel camera sensor, a WVGA resolution on a 3.9" AMOLED display, and Nokia's own button-less Swipe UI on top of Meego 1.2 "Harmattan".

So even though the N9 isn't the Windows Phone Mango superphone we want to finally hit the market, it definitely shows that Nokia is willing to embrace modern hardware when it comes to their flagships.
