Samsung prepping flexible AMOLED display mass production for 2012, We want a WP7 flip phone

Here's some interesting news: after years of showing off their amazingly flexible AMOLED displays, Samsung may finally be ready to mass produce them as soon as Q2 of 2012. With Samsung being one of the largest manufacturers in the world, you can bet we'll be seeing these flexible displays in upcoming devices. Just like any of their other cutting-edge manufacturing tech, we will most likely see Samsung Mobile make use of the flexible AMOLED screens before any others which leaves the possibility of a Windows Phone rocking it too. A Windows Phone watch, anyone?

Okay maybe a watch is unrealistic considering how much control Microsoft has over the hardware specifications for Windows Phones, but we could still see some very cool design work from these displays. Just imagine a Dell Venue Pro but instead of having just curved glass over the screen, the display actually curved with it. We could also see folding smartphones that finally go back to the legitimately awesome flip phone form factor. Whatever Samsung has up its sleeves, we're glad they're snuggling up with Microsoft--we really want a Mango-powered flip phone!
