HTC Bresson Shines with its 16MP Camera in Leaked 2011 T-Mobile Roadmap

A little while back we spotted a leaked ad for a 16 megapixel Windows Phone built by HTC. No name was given at the time, but we got a pretty good look at that phone, and boy did it look tasty. But time quickly went on and we had forgotten all about that on-the-go-photographer's wet dream--until yesterday. Chris Ziegler of This is my next (a site we highly recommend by the way) got his hands on a huge roadmap of all of T-Mobile's planned products for the rest of 2011. The majority of the list was Android-related (either tablets or smartphones) but a few mystery ones, like the HTC "Bresson", popped up among the list that they couldn't place.

Well Pocketnow did a little investigation of their own and discovered that. based on a title card they had with the same name, the Bresson was actually that same anonymous 16-megapixel monster we were drooling over before in that leaked ad. Pocketnow also noted that the picture they had (and therefore the phone in the ad) are just placeholders until the real design is finalized. Combining their findings with This is my next's cornucopia of leaks suggests that the phone will be landing at T-Mobile "beyond" the September timeframe. It's also very likely the Bresson will be among the phones launched alongside Mango, so therefore we can assume Microsoft will be releasing the update just in time for the holidays.

In case you missed that original ad you can check it out after the break. What do you think about the first 16-megapixel Windows Phone? Do you think HTC can defeat their spotty reputation with cameras and deliver a Mango-powered winner?
