'Hann File Transporter' is PC Syncing Done Right

We all know that Windows Phone 7 is notably missing document syncing, an important feature and a highlight for the upcoming Mango release. Wish to just copy an image from your Pictures Hub to a computer without using Zune? No problem! After connecting to Hann Portable Server, simply select "upload from pictures hub" menu and choose an image you wish to upload.

Hann File Transporter includes media player and image/text/html viewer for viewing locally stored files and directly off Hann Portable Server. You can also open Internet Explorer Mobile using Internet shortcuts from desktop Windows.

We took the app for a spin and its overall responsiveness and speed is worthwhile. Setup with the PC server was a breeze (you don't even need to install it) and the phone communicated pretty quickly with files and subdirectories. Mind you that we have a pretty generic router, average internet connection, and mid-range PC so the responsiveness was genuinely surprising. The app touts the ability to playback DivX videos, but so far thats limited to DivX-encoded .mp4 files, which is what the Music + Videos Hub supports anyway so that's nothing special.
