Reminder: Fujitsu IS12T to be announced in Japan today!

In case you forgot, we're here to drop you a friendly reminder that later today (or tomorrow morning in Japan) a Mango device will become official for the very first time. KDDI is holding a little shindig in the Land of the Rising Sun to officially unveil the Fujitsu IS12T, the waterproof hot-pink little number Microsoft flaunted on stage. Also according to Nanapho.jp, the event is going to be in collaboration with Microsoft Japan which means we may see even more phones become official that could be on the horizon for the country.

Fortunately if you just so happened to miss the last seat on a plane to Tokyo, we have good news: you'll be able to stream the event from UStream right here. Of course you're probably going to need to know the language if you plan to watch along or you could do what we're doing: mute the audio, grab some popcorn & a soda, lie in a comfy chair and enjoy. The event will begin 10:00 JST in Japan, but if you're somewhere else in the world when do you know if the fun has already started? We've taken care of that for you too, as we've broken down times for when you can join in (if you don't find your region listed, check this huge timetable we whipped up).
  • Japan
    • 10:00 JST July 27th
    • Germany
      • 03:00 CEST July 27th
    • England
      • 02:00 BST July 27th
    • United States [July 26th]

      • Central (CST) - 8:00pm
      • Mountain (MST) - 7:00pm

Sure this isn't the biggest worldwide event ever and it is specific to Japan, but there are so few 'firsts' in this world that we just have to respect Fujitsu's time in the spotlight. If you're as excited as we are to get a taste of the future, stay tuned for the next few hours!
