We really have to make a habit of listening in on the
Windows Phone Dev Podcast more often. It was revealed on last night's show that
Mango is complete on Microsoft's end of the equation and is now at an RTM (release to manufacturers) build. Also, carriers
already have Mango with them as well and have begun testing the release for their phones. There isn't much else to say, except that this isn't some kind of big shock reveal. With the Nokia Sea Ray rumored to have been running a final build
in its leaked video and
the Fujitsu IS12T set to be revealed next week, we'd be more surprised if Microsoft
hadn't given the RTM build yet. Still, this is a big milestone and confirms that Microsoft has stayed true to its word of a Fall release...now we'll see if carriers and manufacturers can hold up their end of the bargain this time.
Update: Microsoft's Bill Cox mentioned earlier today via his Twitter that Mango is actually
not in the RTM stage yet and teases for us to 'stay tuned'. See it for yourself
here.
