Some users on Twitter have noticed that the official Foursquare app for Windows Phone 7 has mysteriously disappeared from the Marketplace. Opening a link to the app in the Zune desktop software, Foursquare is still present with description and screenshots, but the install option is missing. This is quite odd, considering that this is an official Foursquare app that has disappeared without notice. It could be a slip up on Microsoft's part maybe in an effort to push out an update, but so far all we know is that it's gone. We'll keep you posted if we hear any news.
Update: That's weird. If you visit the Foursquare's website, the link to see the Windows Phone port redirects to the 4th & Mayor app, an unofficial Foursquare client. Did the app get bought out? We've reached out to Foursquare for an official comment, but no response yet.
