Despite plenty of people carrying around some pretty advanced devices in their hands, the simple act of giving directions can still be a total pain in the butt. What's worse is that if you misspell the address or someone misheard the street name they could end up in a completely different city (it's happened to us). Luckily the dead-simple Text My Location is here to offer a solution to that problem:
Ever had trouble explaining a friend how to find your address? Ever lost your travel mates in a foreign city? Send them your location on a map at the press of a button. The message is send over SMS and contains a hyperlink that can be opened using any telephone with internet access. Sending your location doesnt require an active internet connection, but being connected gives you a better user experience. Text messages are send using regular sms, without additional charges or fees.
The app should be a godsend for the 'glance-and-go' types Windows Phone 7 was designed for, and the ease of use is definitely a big plus. The app is Free in the Marketplace so give it a look.
