Now Xbox Live Services are Down for Windows Phones (Update 2: Restored)

Squash one bug and up comes another. Winrumors reports that Windows Phone 7 is now experiencing its second services outage in the same week, but this time it's for Xbox Live:

WinRumors readers are reporting that they are unable to access Xbox LIVE services on multiple Windows Phone 7 devices. [...] The symptoms appears to be related to Microsoft’s back-end Windows Live services.

We can also confirm that the Xbox Live outage is affecting our AT&T Samsung Focus as well. When trying to load Xbox Live Extras, we received the following error: Could not sign in to Xbox LIVE (seen above). The Windows Phone Support Twitter page has already acknowledged the issue but no resolution has been given.

This article will be updated once we receive more info.

Update: The official Xbox Live Status page has been updated with information on the outage, including that it is affecting all of the applications that use "Token services":

Users will experience issues attempting to use LIVE services that use Token services including but not limited to connecting to Facebook\Twitter on the Xbox 360 Console, signing into Xbox LIVE using the Windows Mobile 7 phone, and editing avatars or viewing achievements on Xbox.com.

We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.

Update 2: It looks like everything is back to normal folks, Now get back to hunting those 'cheevos!
